Operation 'Market Garden', Netherlands, September 1944

Well chaps, Monty's come up with a corker this time. His new plan combines a huge armoured push and the largest aerial drop ever conceived. We need to take bridges and open a corridor from Eindhoven to Arnhem and from there push straight over the Rhine and into Jerry's soft underbelly. By all accounts, the plan is audacious and brilliant; it should see the war won by Christmas!
The US 101st are dropping to capture Eindhoven, Son and Veghel. The 82nd are taking Grave and Nijmegen. And we, the King's very own 1st Airborne Division, are taking the prize - Arnhem. Due to some issues with the Drop Zone however, we can't land that close to the bridge. As such, we require your company to secure an ancillary bridge to the South and secure our line of communication. In a couple of days you'll be relieved by the Polish 1st Parachute Brigade. All told, XXX Corps should be with is in a maximum of 4 days. Our intelligence reliably informs us that the enemy mostly consists of Hitler Youth and old men. Should be a breeze. Carry on then, Captain.

MISSION SUMMARY: This will be a heavily themed mission with elements taken from the Second World War. The mission will be making use of the Arma 3 mods Iron Front, Faces Of War and CSA38 which will be posted as well at the bottom of this event page in a compiled list.  Weaponry within the mission will be restricted to WW2/Faction based weaponry and will be restricted per your chosen role. Tags for applicable roles are being enforced and will not be different from standard slotting. Squad Structure and PTLN structure have been changed to accommodate the theme and structure of operations in the Second World War.
