The next couple of days are expected to be largely quiet, it's the Tet celebrations; or the Vietnamese Lunar New Year. We're maintaining operational security but we're not expecting the Cong to try anything major. Most likely, they're back home drinking booze. A local Army MP unit is reporting large crowds of revilers in the town of Ba Ria and have requested more support. Once the sun has risen, we're deploying a platoon from FSB Horseshoe to go and assist. The Australians in the area were busy with some operation they're planning, but it shouldn't affect us.

Your orders stand - assist the MPs. Arrest any rowdy civilians. Get back here before 1200 for noontime chow. Dismissed.

MISSION SUMMARY: This will be a heavily themed mission with elements taken from the Vietnam War. The mission will be making use of the Arma 3 Unsung mod which will be posted as well at the bottom of this event page in a compiled list.  Weaponry within the mission will be restricted to Vietnam/Faction based weaponry and will be restricted per your chosen role. Tags for applicable roles are being enforced and will not be different from standard slotting. Squad Structure and PTLN structure have been changed to accommodate the theme and structure of operations in the Vietnam War.

1. Only Weapons and equipment from the Unsung mod may be used within the mission.
2. Short Range Radios are prohibited.
3. Only Radiomen are permitted to carry Long Range Radios.
4. Night vision equipment is prohibited.
5. BFT and GPS systems will be disabled/prohibited.
6. Looting of enemy primary weapons is restricted, looting of enemy supplies is permitted. Should resupply not be available, emergency procurement of enemy weapons is permitted. *The Staff Sergeant can request a Thompson or AK-47 instead of his M16. It was surprisingly common to see this in the Marines.
