Fox Company, 3rd Battalion, 9th Marine Expeditionary Brigade

In efforts to secure the perimeter of Ban Me Thuot; HQ has decided that Marines need to act more aggresively. Patrols are being organised to sweep the surrounding areas and locate hostiles which have been mortaring the base sporadically for the last few days. Your Platoon has been tasked with sweeping and clearing the rice paddies South East of the base, in particular the villages of Ba Ria and Ba Ria 2. While we are operating in a more aggressive posture, we are not technically cleared for combat operations - this is purely a defensive patrol to locate and eliminate hostile mortar batteries which are threatening the lives of Marines.
You are only cleared to fire in an effort to safeguard your Marines.

MISSION SUMMARY: This will be a heavily themed mission with elements taken from the the Vietnam War during the 1960s and 1970s. The mission will be making use of the Arma 3 mods S&S, Unsung and the DLC SOG Prairie Fire which will be posted as well at the bottom of this event page in a compiled list.  Weaponry within the mission will be restricted to Vietnam War era/Faction based weaponry and will be restricted per your chosen role. Tags for applicable roles are being enforced and will not be different from standard slotting. Squad Structure and PTLN structure have been changed to accommodate the theme and structure of operations during the Vietnam War.

1. Semi-scripted loadouts. Weapons are limited to your role and assigned at mission start.
   1. Riflemen have M14s
   2. SL's, PLTN, PLTN 2iC & Medics may take M2 Carbines. 
   3. Autoriflemen are to take M60s. (Full bodies, not the chop-down.)
   4. Grenadiers can take the M79 primary. (No secondary M79).
   5. RTOs, Autoriflemen, Medics, Grenadiers & Leadership elements may take M1911 sidearms. No other sidearms may be taken.
   6. Weapon mounted optics are prohibited.
   7. Short Range Radios are prohibited.
   8. Long Range Radios (PRC-25s) are permitted to RTOs only.
   9. No LAT may be carried by the squads. Platoon AT gunner carries a Super Bazooka.
2. Looting of enemy weapons and non-medical equipment is prohibited.
3. All equipment from the Unsung or S&S mods and SOG PF DLC permitted.
4. BLUFOR tracking will be disabled.
