June 13, 2023

Written for FORSCOM

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE TO PRESS:

Written by First Warrant Officer Jacob Mors Pugnans

Earlier this Morning, at 0250, Radio intelligence officer, [REDACTED], was contacted by a resupply convoy north of the lush mountainous region known as [REDACTED]. This convoy noted multiple Russian armored vehicles before losing contact with the American Resupply convoy. This egregious assault on America and her allies is nothing but a full out declaration of war. The country known as Afghanistan has been invaded by Russian Forces. Also, the Russians have pushed against the sovereign nation of Poland. Russia's hunger for land and power must be denounced to the fullest extent of all nations considered allies of America. This appeal also goes out before the UN to take action upon this gregarious use of force from the Russians.

Sincerely,

GEN. Reginald G. Abrams

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

TO THE SECOND COMPANY OF THE THIRTEENTH BATTALION WITHIN THE THIRD ARMY OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA:

                    To all Command Elements,

Current Orders: HOLD POSITION AT ALL COSTS.

Details: These are orders handed down from GEN. Reginald G. Abrams. If you are reading this, you are to hold your position at all costs against the Russian Coalition. The sector that the Second Company has been tasked with is a crucial part of the supply chain that allows America and her allies to resupply almost the entire north of Afghanistan. Currently, we are trying to slow them down about 50 Kilometers to your south. However, if you are able to hold them at bay we will have enough time to prepare and execute a counter attack to help relieve your forces. I pray that you all survive, however the odds are not high. And what I ask of you is impossible. I will not be mad or frustrated if you lay down your arms in defeat, even if the allies trapped within your region aren't given the same option. However, as a fellow soldier of the United States of America. I ask that you show the world that we can not be beaten. That we will not be beaten. That we can not be toppled, we overcome.

History has its eyes on you and your men. I know you do not have time right now for an anecdote from an aging man. But I shall try to relay my wisdom anyway in the hopes that it may inspire you to further action in this time of need:

"I was just as young as you are now when I was given my first command, I led my men straight into a ambush. It was a massacre. I witnessed and felt their deaths firsthand. I ordered my men directly into their death and made every fucking mistake possible. I knew history had its eyes on me... that it would be a message to others.
I wanted my accomplishments to matter, I wanted my team to matter; but you have no control of who lives, who dies, who tells your story in the end.
Every man writes his own book. Greatness lies in you. Remember that from here on in, history has its eyes on you."

-Gen. Reginald G. Abrams

Section 3: Intel

Friendly Forces/Positions: US Army, US Marines, US Air force, British Special Air Service

Fallen Positions: Camp Branca, Pointa Cueva, Robstreppo, Mike 1, ALL Towns, Cities, Mike 2, Baker Outpost

Held Positions (Currently as of 0400 HRS): Airfield, Camp Kinno

                    Enemy Forces: Russians

While Satellite Imaging of the A.O. has been destroyed. We have correct Intel that the Enemy Russian 75th Mobilized Division is in operations within your A.O. Their objectives are unknown. They currently have up to T-90's in terms of maximum expected armor engagements. But due to being mostly a mobilized force they do not seem to have more than a Platoons worth of T-90's.  They mostly are composed of BTRs, Gaz-66's, BDRMs, and BMPs as their modes of transport. They are supported by the 34th Maelstrom wing of the Soviet Air force. This is comprised of a healthy mix of Fixed wing and Rotary wing craft. Our own 13th Wing "Devil's Call" will be dealing and engaging with a majority of this however a few are stationed at the airfield in your AO.  The enemy infantry in your specific A.O. Is about a Battalions worth. This is a very crucial area in the region, holding the only airport in the entire region, they wish to crush all resistance here. This is as far as our Intel goes.
