- Heavy casualties sustained during first day fighting. CHARLIE ZUG combat ineffective. ALFA ZUG at 60%. BRAVO ZUG at 80%. Reserves being activated.
BRAVO, GOLF, remaining as rear-guard.
Remainder of PGR-13 retiring to Staging Point KESSEL.

BRIEFING :
Soviet Forces of the N.V.A. have broken through the frontlines of AO Mittelgebirge, the Commander of the 3rd Panzer Division has ordered all subordinate units, including the 13th Panzergrenadiers, to withdraw to a new staging area codenamed KESSEL.

To cover the withdrawal, elements of 3 companies of the 13th Panzergrenadiers have been left behind to act as a rear-guard.

The Objectives are to hold the line until friendly forces have withdrawn, and then to withdraw yourselves.

Expected hostile forces include Motorisierte-Schutzenregiment 22, Motorisierte-Schutzenregiment 23 & Panzerregiment 4.

Friendly forces will be deploying to Tarvejo initially.

- All Platoon Leaders take note, the following changes to Standard Operating Procedures are to be implemented immediately.
1) Drivers of Squad Transportation should disembark and act as Riflemen when not actively driving. This should combat losses suffered.
2) Anti-Tank Teams remain independent members of DELTA ZUG. If attached to a Squad by PLTCMD, they should take direction from that Squad Leader under advisement.
3) Due to the loss of transportation, Junior Medical Personnel will be embedded with Panzergrenadier units. This may be subject to future change.
4) Do not stray beyond declared front-lines. Intermittent shelling by 414 PAB may begin without warning.
5) All personnel must keep their Chemical Filtration & Protection equipment within quick reach. Chemical Alert Status is now RED.

DELTA-ONE and TWO are Milan Anti-Tank Guided Missile Teams operating from FUCHS APCs. C-21 V14 is a GEPARD SPAAG. Additional personnel will be deployed as Soldat (Riflemen) and will be attached to squads evenly, except GOLF-ONE.
