HERE WE GO! Let's make Mars green again!

pic3536616.jpg

"In the 2400s, mankind begins to terraform the planet Mars. Giant corporations, sponsored by the World Government on Earth, initiate huge projects to raise the temperature, the oxygen level, and the ocean coverage until the environment is habitable. In Terraforming Mars, you play one of those corporations and work together in the terraforming process, but compete for getting victory points that are awarded not only for your contribution to the terraforming, but also for advancing human infrastructure throughout the solar system, and doing other commendable things."

Our goal is simple: Raise oxygen, waterlevel, and temperature enough to make the Red Planet habitable for humans. And, of course, colonize the shit out of this Spacerock!
Playtime will probably be around 3h, we'll start with the base game and, if you guys are interested, can try out extensions in further sessions.

@Sarissa and @Woodscrap already reserved their slots, means we have 2 open slots for people willing to partake. Sarissa and me have both played this game a lot, so explaining it should be pretty straight forward. if you want to read up on it beforehand, here's a link to the related page on boardgamegeek - or message me here or on Discord if you have questions.

@BonSie kinda. But not quite. It doesn't take much to learn, but can get a bit more complex. Basically, you buy hand cards, play out those cards if their requirements are met, and with that, increase your resource production/build cities/gain victory points by other means and increase your terraforming rating. Terraforming rating + victory points make up your final score, which is counted at the end of the game and from what I experienced with the game, up until that point it's often completely unclear who's gonna win. There are some expansions, included in the base game as well as extra, that add more complexity to it.

If this / other board game stuff ever becomes a thing again I'd gladly hop on board; hope to see more of these around sometime in the future!

I mean, it's not like I hosted a board game event every-ish week for like a month now...
