"Our army is composed of the scum of the earth - the mere scum of the earth." ~ Arthur Wellesley, Duke of Wellington

Ho there! Are you seeking a life of adventure? A chance to escape the gutter and tour the plains of Europe? Then take the King's Shilling and march for King and Country against Boney and the French Menace! If the chance to form a line of muskets, fire a volley of black powder and charge headfirst into the enemy's guns appeals to you, then I'm glad to announce that I am hosting a Holdfast: Nations at War event on the FK TS. It will be quite relaxed - we'll gather together; find a server that can accommodate us all and then march to victory against the dastardly foe.

If possible, we'll organise into a mini Line Regiment, with someone as the Officer; another as a Flag Bearer and a couple more as musicians; the rest will form a line and let fly musket balls upon command!
There will be a few rules for this event, but nothing serious.

  1. As much as possible, follow the orders of the Officer in Charge.
  2. If Marksmen; Cannoneer/Rocketeer; Surgeon; Sapper or Cavalry classes are open, please only take those slots if you know how to play those roles.
  3. If you are playing as the Officer in Charge, please use the in game command system as well as voice to command the Brigade. This will allow non-FK players to join in our Line!
  4. Act decently! This is a public game on a public server, so don't do anything to massively tarnish the FK name please.
    5. Don't play as the French (unless you really have to)

And that's about it! I'm happy to answer questions here if you're not familiar with Holdfast or want more info on the classes/planned roles/typical formations and tactics of the Napoleonic Wars.

If this goes well, I'll try to organise more on a semi-regular basis. If we can get a solid corps together, I can put us forward for formal Line Battles!
