"Our campaign to liberate the Gilbert islands has begun, the largest US fleet ever assembled has started the island hopping campaign that will end at the Japanese home island. However it begins here, at Tarawa. The Navy will begin the assault with a bombardment that will put the fear of god into the Japanese, then we will land and raise hell. The higher ups expect little resistance, but this one may be different, the Tarawa garrison is well supplied and dug in. I have a feeling his is gonna be a bloody one, but you guys are experienced and have faced this foe before.

2. Looting of enemy weapons is allowed if absolutely necessary

3. Respawns unlimited for infantry and resupply will be provided by a LVT

5. No marking in side after briefing unless all (living) lead elements are together.
