This will take place on the second server. Regs+ will have priority for RSVP, but FNGs can request slots in case somebody cancels.

Training session focused toward figuring out where you are and effective navigation on the ground without a GPS and in various adverse conditions such as darkness.

The general session plan is as follows:

1. Loadouts - outlining the items that'll be useful to have with you.
2. Location - we'll talk about how to figure out where you are using your environment and items.
3. Practice - this will make up the bulk of the session. You'll be given a time limit to pinpoint your location and make your way back to base. This will be repeated under different scenarios.
4. Driving - a short brief and some practice driving effectively without relying on the GPS.

Be in the Misc Training room on time. People who haven't RSVPed can join in at the start time given there's space.

Which Items will be talked about?

Basic stuff: compass, map tools, flares, etc.; as well as just convenient items that won't actually be used in practice like altimeter watches.

There'll also be a few runs with no items at all.

If I have nothing going on tomorrow afternoon (which I shouldn't, but unforeseeable things like to crop up), I would like to join if possible.

Interesting reminder from the server.

Hi Ripley,
There's now less than 1 day to go until Infantry navigation training.

When: 03 July 2018 20:30 (GMT+5.5) - 03 July 2018 22:30 (GMT+5.5)

Showing as 16.00 UK time on the calendar.  I am good with that

Yeah, the emails don't adjust for you location, so they just show you the event time zone. The calendar adjusts because it has access to your IP.

Thanks @Guest and @johnb43

I learnt alot today including how to drive.  Now I need to focus and reading my immediate environment and obvious landmarks.

Thanks again for you time.
