    Introduction and purpose

BettIR helps with NV (night vision) devices when it's very dark. It allows the user to use an IR (infrared) flashlight, either built into NVGs (night vision goggles) or IR laser weapons attachments, to light up very dark areas.

From the steam workshop page itself:

    ?imw=637&imh=358&ima=fit&impolicy=Letter

The top one is just without any clientside NV mods. The bottom one is with Apricot's MW NVG VFX, specifically the White Phospor lens. However as the prior is now deprecated, Fawks's Enhanced NVGs can be used (use only 1 of these mods at the same time, if you are going to use any of them).
These clientside mods are however not required, this is just to show that they are compatible with BettIR.
    ?imw=637&imh=358&ima=fit&impolicy=Letter

BettIR has compatibilty for nearly all Vanilla, ACE and RHS NVGs and IR laser attachments by default. However, compatibilty for other mods, such as BW and BAF, is added by FK Mods (as of 15.6.2021).

    How to use

Default Keybindings for this mod are:

Alt + Shift + N: Turns on the IR flashlight on the NVGs. It emits a bigger but weaker IR light source, making it useful for CQC.
Alt + Shift + L: Turns of the IR flashlight on the IR laser attachment. It emits a smaller but more powerful and further reaching IR light source, making it good for spotting targets further away (about 50m max).
