Current Situation on Altis as of 10/06/2035 at 0900 Hours:

AFTER MONTHS OF DIFFICULT FIGHTING, NATO AND AAF FORCES HAVE COMMITTED TO A CEASE FIRE, SUBSEQUENTLY A DEMILITARISED ZONE HAS BEEN CREATED SPANNING WHAT WAS THE FRONT LINE. DUE TO THE CEASEFIRE, THE USS FREEDOM IS BEING RETURNED STATESIDE FOR RETROFIT AND MINOR REPAIRS FROM THE CONFLICT, ON BOARD IS THE REMAINDER OF TASK FORCE AEGIS.

---TIME LOG---

1657 - USS Freedom begins her journey south, outbound from Altis, transporting NATO equipment along with her own complement of assets.

1713 - AAF anti-ship missile, fired from the west coast of Altis, impacted the bow of the USS Freedom, as a result the Captain ordered the ship be run aground on a beachhead to avoid sinking.

1718 - Distress call reaches Altis NATO HQ, Task Force Eagle is ordered to begin mobilising a ground force, to assist Task Force Aegis, at Air Force Base Sierra.

1727 - USS Freedom runs aground near shoreline and combat personnel began transferring what supplies and assets they can to the beach to establish a temporary base, whilst fire crews wrestled the fires on the USS Freedom.

1735 - Task Force Eagle begins pushing south west towards the DMZ to begin their assault on the Altis Armed Forces.

---END OF TIME LOG---

Will all of the squads/assets start from the carrier? How about a prophet team infiltrating from the north? Maybe one special forces squad as well.

(just some thoughts)

My bad for not specifying that, yes they will all start at the carrier, I was contemplating Prophet but wasn't sure if they would get much use.

So in this scenario, the carrier being hit leads to the Russians being driven off the peninsula if successful, breaking the stalemate? The troops at the DMZ would effectively be encircled then, after all.

Also 10 minutes until the Russian push arrives seems a bit lax considering the Russian base is less than 2 km away and surely they were prepared to move out already? I'd say a short briefing time + tight timing on the assault would allow for a better "oh shit ruski suprise attack" effect, as people would have to scramble to their positions rather than take their leisurely time strolling over.

It takes 4 minutes for Urals to arrive from the airfield, and taking into account the time they need to prep as they were not expecting the USS Freedom to run aground and their crew survive.

I'd like to reserve drone op then, FW pilot tag, unless I need to wait till the actual event is up.

This may become an event soon...tm xD

If you want you could even force loadouts or a uniform to increase the immersion.

Yeah I’ve been thinking about that, it’s something I may look at tonight or tomorrow!
