So I booted up the old Battlefield 3 campaign, and I started playing the mission "Thunder Run". By far one of my favorites. But also one of the saddest endings to a tank crew, as we see the crew have to fight off waves of attacking enemy while the US Marines' QRF was en route. AND THAT GOT ME THINKING: Has there been a scenario where we have BLUFOR QRF and OPFOR forces racing towards a disabled Knight crew? In my head, we would see the Knight team bunkered down best they can in a disabled (or just engine off M1A1) waiting for BLUFOR rescue, while preparing to fend off any OPFOR forces. BLUFOR QRF would fly in helis to the rescue, but would spawn in an airbase a great distance away, possible even on the other side of the map. OPFOR would start closer to Knight's loaction, but only able to pursue on foot. BLUFOR objective: rescue the Knight crew and get the hell out. OPFOR objective: Kill the knight crew. Thats just a small idea in my head, but hopefully its a do able one. Please tell me what y'all think!
