There are 3 possible events you can create. Here they are and explained how:
- Mission Planner: The mission planner is for Main Missions. You have to follow this guide line for the requirements. These events also need approval by CMs.
- Training Planner: The Training Planner is for Training events. If you are running a Training use this calendar.
- Community Events: This is for games other than Arma 3 or special events in Arma 3 which take place during off hours. This includes reserving the server for you and your friends to play together.
If you do something on the Training Planner or the Community Events Calendar, it is preferred that you either take the 2nd Server or make sure nothing else is running at the same time.

So I have been talking about this since 2017 (shity joke but i laughed at it anyway) and I finally have all the parts and the time to build my computer. As I talked about in earlier threads with regards to this topic, I will be streaming the entire process. While I plan to stop once Windows is installing, I expect the actual build portion to take a few hours. But seeing as I have a history of making small things take entire days, I have put the entire day aside to build this thing. I will be in the TS when I first start but I do not plan to be on it for the entire duration. Also something that I figured I would do during this is Slouchy's Story Time. There has been quite a few in jokes in FK since its birth and stories that many are not aware of the origins. So something to make it seem like I am not a complete idiot during this build stream I will attempt to answer any questions that people have to such stories or jokes. A small sample of such stories are: How I almost got eaten by a grizzly How FK actual came to be The Leslie Memorial While I am sure there are plenty of stories I may not know their origins, hopefully I can find someone that does. The reason for this event/stream is that I have never built a computer from scratch before so I need the internet to tell me how not to waste my time and money. And with the helpful advice I am sure you will all give me, I might as well return the favor.
For those that are interested, here is a part list of what my computer will be constructed out of: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/7skHcc

So after someone made a comment about driving on the server in my What Are We Missing thread I thought I would do a test training session on driving basics and if things go well and there is enough interest I will do more sessions.
What will be covered in this session is controls for driving, how to set the speed limiter, driving in conveys, parking for dismounting and spotting IED's. The vehicles we will be are using in this training session are Humvees and MRAP's there will be no armour as this is not was this training for. If you are would like to drive an and learn about armour vics then you will need to attend one of the armour driver trainings which are run by specific trainers.
If everyone could head to the General Training room for the training and have there games loaded that would be great. Training will take place on the 2nd server if it is not being used for testing and if you do have the IP I will give that out before we join the server.
**This driving basics does not count in anyway to getting driving tags. If you are are interested in getting your driver tags then please speak to the trainers @Vericht, @Don_prince or @Cyico**

Ok, so I want to give everyone a chance to settle down into the new year and also do this on a weekend before main missions, which this is the next decent opportunity...
***I'M SETTING AN RSVP TO THIS, BUT PLEASE USE IT TO SAY IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON COMING, OR MAYBE COMING AND NOT JUST IF YOU CAN MAKE THE MEETING***
Just turn up to the meeting if you can, or if wait for the details following the meeting to be posted.
As most of you know, the only other meet ups mentioned that are going to be planned are in April, now whilst this is an air soft one that will interest people into that, there are still going to be a lot, especially from outside the UK, that cannot make it due to them being in education, amongst other reasons.
Therefore, I thought it would be nice to give all those an opportunity during the summer holidays to have a meet up however big as the interest in it is.
The aim for this meet up is to be on the weekend of Friday 13th July - Sunday 15th July.
Depending on travel, this can be extended to the Monday, with everyone having the options of coming anywhere in between the Friday and Monday.
I believe some initial research found it was cheaper to travel on the Thursday/Friday and Monday, so anyone wanting to come can just do a bit of research and we will sort something around everyone's needs.
The location is not set in stone yet, but there is a high possibility it will be held in Bristol due to centralisation, ease of travel there, we just need to decide and then search for accommodation and activities.
There will not be any specific event like air soft planned, but I am going to be trying to make sure the accommodation is close to a pub at least, and a few options for groups of people to split off and do what ever they want throughout the weekend.
Type of accommodation will be discussed during this meeting, airbnb is a possibility, hostels can be good and cheap for large groups, I much prefer the idea of us all sharing one location together than being spread out and causing a lot of hassle to arrange to meet up and organise doing anything. Plus if there are dropouts, if we have only booked one large place for all of us, the cost is spread out so doesn't highly affect anyone to spread the cost of that dropout.
For anyone travelling from outside of the UK, try not to worry too much about travelling right away, there's plenty of people here that do a lot of travelling and can help talk you through it and when you get to the UK I'm sure there will be a number of us driving there, so we can ferry people from airports, train stations, bus stations, etc.
Even if you are only 20% possibly coming, please don't hesitate to put a maybe on the RSVP, so people can judge how many from the same country/area are going, which will make things easier to organise carpools!
