  • There are 3 possible events you can create. Here they are and explained how:

    • Mission Planner: The mission planner is for Main Missions. You have to follow this guide line for the requirements. These events also need approval by CMs.
    • Training Planner: The Training Planner is for Training events. If you are running a Training use this calendar.
    • Community Events: This is for games other than Arma 3 or special events in Arma 3 which take place during off hours. This includes reserving the server for you and your friends to play together.

    If you do something on the Training Planner or the Community Events Calendar, it is preferred that you either take the 2nd Server or make sure nothing else is running at the same time.

      ++MISSION BRIEFING++
    1st, January, 1945

    The second world war is in it's final phases and as the front moves ever forward on to Berlin, the Allied aircraft move up behind it. Most days are dull for the fighter groups due to the dwindling state of the Luftwaffe. However, today it would seem will be different. We are getting reports from across the board that what remains of the German air force is taking to the skies in a last ditch attempt to destroy our own aircraft while they are on the ground. Your airfield in particular is home to some A-26 and B-17 flights from the Mighty 8th. They will no doubt be targeted along with the airstrip itself. We have also captured and repurposed three German radar systems, these are marked on map and will most likely come under assault as well. If the external radars are lost, it will severely hamper our ability to not only detect incoming enemies but also guide our own planes. The radar and all other targets are to be protected at all costs.
    Enemy forces are mostly to be expected from the East and South, however some may come in from other directions as the day progresses. As mentioned, the entire Luftwaffe is up, so you can expect to come up against pretty much anything and in ever increasing number as time goes on. As for our own forces, spare aircraft are present but limited. We have approximately 8 spare aircraft for each flight, however more may be able to be brought in with time. The airfield is fully equipped with RRR capabilities and should not run dry any time soon, there is no need to be sparing with ammo. The base also has AA guns and a Radar that will no doubt prove useful. The enemy must be prevented from achieving their goals if we are to achieve our own victory, make sure it is us who win.

    Recap (briefing without the fluff):
    Playing as USAAF Fighting the Luftwaffe Enemy air force is expected to use all available aircraft types, expect anything and everything Most enemy forces expected from East and South, may expand to include North and West over time. Main task, Prevent destruction of friendly grounded aircraft, airfield facilities and external radars. 8 spare planes for each flight. More may be available with time.  no limit on personnel respawn. RRR available at airfield

    MISSION SUMMARY: This will be a heavily themed mission with elements taken from the Second World War, with some artistic liberties taken. The mission will be making use of the Arma 3 mods Iron Front, Faces Of War and CSA38 which will be posted as well at the bottom of this event page in a compiled list.  Weaponry within the mission will be restricted to WW2/Faction based weaponry and will be restricted per your chosen role. Tags for applicable roles are being enforced and will not be different from standard slotting. Squad Structure and PTLN structure have been changed to accommodate the theme and structure of operations in the Second World War. There may be some potentially offensive imagery present in the mission.

    ++RESTRICTIONS++
    scripted loadouts (no GPS, do have SR radios). RRR is available from your start point.
    for personal resupply, arsenals will be attached to RRR vehicles. Respawns: unlimited for personnel. Initially 8x planes for each flight, more may be available later. BFT is enabled on Flight Leads. If the three external radars are destroyed, BFT will go as well. There will be no "Zeus" briefing, the text above is all you have. I will be around to answer any questions Map Markings: No marking in side after briefing unless all (living) lead elements are together.
                             No marking in group unless all (living) squad members are together. players may move outside of normal map boundaries. inbuilt GPS may be used if completely lost. Pilots can swap to other aircraft type if none of the starting type are left. Radar operators: May use radar readout to give basic information on aircraft but not exact type.
    Instead give generic type, E.G "single engine fighter" rather than "BF-109" ++Notes++
    Zeus' note: There will be some remote controlling in the name of more enjoyable dogfights. Guide for setting additional channels can be found in sections 4b (Short range) and 4c (Long range):
    https://www.fkgaming.eu/guides/fng-guides/fng-arma-guides/beginners-guide-tfar-r22/ Ground crew may drive planes if required. Commander also has capacity to operate a radar. Damage is not registered to "Panels" as they are normally, keep an eye out for smoke and fire from your tail. Here is a suggested communication/ radio channel plan (feel free to ignore it if you have a better idea):
